1. Acceptance

By using the West Campus Integrity Index ("WCII", "we", "us", or "this site"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply alongside our Privacy policy and Disclaimer, which are incorporated by reference.

2. What this site is

WCII is an independent, non-commercial, student-built index that reproduces public records about West Campus student housing and presents clearly-labeled analysis of them. It is an informational resource. It is not legal, financial, real-estate, or other professional advice, and using it does not create any professional or advisory relationship. 3. No warranty: provided "as is"

The information here is drawn from public datasets published by the City of Austin, the Travis Central Appraisal District, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, and similar sources. Those datasets can be incomplete, delayed, mis-keyed, or later revised at the source. Consistent with the open-data disclaimers of those agencies, everything on this site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for a particular purpose. We work to represent the records faithfully, but we do not guarantee that any record is current or error-free.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WCII and the people who maintain it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site, including any housing, financial, or legal decision you make. This site is one starting point for your own due diligence, not a substitute for it. Tour the building, read the lease, and confirm anything material with the original source and, where appropriate, a professional.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use this site to:

• harass, threaten, or target any individual: the index reports on companies and properties, not people;
• misrepresent our analysis as a legal finding, a certification, or an endorsement;
• take any action that unlawfully discriminates in housing, including on the basis of any protected class;
• place an automated load on the service that degrades it for others; or
• copy the site wholesale and present it as your own.

6. Public records, our work, and reuse

The underlying government records are public and belong to the public; we claim no ownership of them and encourage you to consult them directly through the source links we provide. Our own contributions (the original writing, page design, code, data-processing pipeline, and the labeled WCII analysis) are ours. Our methodology is public by design. You are welcome to quote, cite, and link to us for non-commercial, journalistic, academic, or personal purposes with attribution. Please do not resell our work or strip its context.

7. Corrections and disputes

We would rather be corrected than be wrong. Operators and residents who believe a record is inaccurate or missing context can dispute it, and our response is posted alongside theirs. 8. Links to other sites

We link to primary sources (city and county datasets, the Texas Comptroller, the Federal Trade Commission, and reporting channels) so you can check our work. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their own terms and privacy practices.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This site publishes commentary on matters of public concern; see the Disclaimer for how that speech is characterized and protected.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; when we do, we will change the effective date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
